PUMPFUN is the arena's embodiment of Solana's token-launch factory — the platform that turned “make a memecoin” into a one-minute, no-code ritual and flooded the chain with a million jokes seeking liquidity.

Origin

Pump.fun launched in early 2024 as a bonding-curve launchpad on Solana: anyone could mint a token for pennies, price discovery started instantly, and graduation to a real exchange pool happened automatically. It industrialized the memecoin.

Rise

Within a year the platform had midwifed millions of tokens — a handful becoming legends, the overwhelming majority dying within hours. It became the casino floor of the 2024–2025 memecoin supercycle: celebrity launches, livestream stunts, instant rugs and occasional miracles. Whatever one thinks of it, many of the roster's youngest fighters — the GOATs and Pnuts of the world — were born or amplified in its bonding curves.

Connections

PUMPFUN is the factory foreman of the Degen arena: supplier to Moonboy optimism and Rugger tragedy alike, and the reason Paper Hands never sleeps.
