Origin

The GOAT phenomenon (Goatseus Maximus) emerged on Solana in October 2024 from the orbit of Truth Terminal, an experimental autonomous AI agent created by researcher Andy Ayrey. The AI's unhinged posting about a goat-themed gospel inspired the token's creation, and its subsequent endorsement — plus a famous crypto grant given to the AI itself — sent the coin vertical.

Rise

GOAT minted the “AI agent memecoin” category overnight; within weeks, dozens of chatbots had wallets, tokens and cults. Whether the AI truly launched anything remains cheerfully disputed — but the market didn't care, and the goat became the mascot of the strangest new asset class of the decade.
