The Maxi is crypto's true believer: the maximalist who has selected the One Correct Asset and reorganized their entire epistemology around it. All other tokens are scams; all criticism is heresy; the citadel is coming.

Origin

The archetype crystallized as "Bitcoin maximalism" in the mid-2010s — the term is commonly credited to Ethereum circles describing Bitcoin-only purists, and was promptly adopted as a badge by the purists themselves, a pattern this encyclopedia documents repeatedly. Laser-eyed profile pictures during bull markets became the maxi's parade uniform.

Spread

Maximalism proved portable: Ethereum maxis, Solana maxis, and micro-maxis of every persuasion now conduct eternal chain-war in every reply section. The maxi's paradox is that their obnoxious certainty is occasionally load-bearing — conviction holders provide the floor every market crash bounces off. The internet made fun of the laser eyes; the laser eyes did not blink.

Connections

Every maxi lineage traces its scripture to Satoshi, the prophet who wisely logged off. The parade uniform is on loan from the laser-eyed legions of Laser Eyes, and a maxi who wins the argument long enough eventually becomes a Whale — at which point the ideology becomes a balance sheet.

The Maxi fighter uses one bomb type, one route, and one opinion about your loadout, delivered unprompted. Money death-style, Vault affinity, common collectible card, conviction rated structural. Mempedia's note, delivered with a straight face: BomberMeme's whole thesis — the meme ecosystem belongs on Solana — is itself gloriously maxi-coded, and the arena settles chain-war the honest way.
