Two Buttons — also known as Daily Struggle — is the comic panel of a caped figure sweating profusely over two buttons, capturing the agony of choosing between options that are contradictory, equally tempting, or equally doomed.

Origin

The panel comes from a comic by artist Jake Clark, commonly dated to 2014. The original joke already had the structure that made it immortal: the buttons contradict each other, and the chooser is drenched. The internet extracted the panel, made the button labels editable, and a template was born.

Rise

Two Buttons became one of the workhorse formats of the late 2010s and never left rotation. Its niche is the self-own: unlike other choice memes, the sweat implies the chooser knows both options are wrong. It is the format of hypocrisy exposed, ideology contradicting itself, and — in its crypto deployment — every trader hovering between "take profit" and "let it ride" as the candle moves.
